CrossFit for a Cure 2018

CrossFit for a Cure is back again to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Loudoun County. This event is open for ALL fitness abilities – no CrossFit experience necessary. Our Relay raised over $200,000 last year for cancer research and patient support services; $3000 of that total was from CrossFit for a Cure. We would love to make a bigger impact in 2018!
We will have a variety of great vendors, a silent auction, and a raffle with many fun ticket items.
The $50 team donation includes an event shirt for each teammate and one ticket for the raffle. 100% of registration, silent auction, and raffle proceeds will be donated to Relay for Life of Loudoun County.

Reps For Rescue - a Fundraiser for IJM

CrossFit Sterling will be participating in Reps for Rescue this year, a nation-wide Fundraising Event to benefit the International Justice Mission. We hope you will join us in raising critical funds to end violence and slavery around the world. Please bring friends and family to this event/workout, no CrossFit experience needed!
With the CrossFit community’s help, IJM has provided freedom to more than 4,000 men, women and children in 2017 alone. Each year multiple rescue operations have been funded through the Reps for Rescue WOD, bringing freedom to thousands of victims trapped in the brutal existence of human trafficking & other forms of violence against the poor. Over $40,000 has been raised since 2016.
Beginning in 2016, just outside D.C. at Jeff & Maggie Tinchers Crossfit Reston, the idea was birthed to design a challenging partner WOD that in some way helped participants identify with the pain & suffering IJM’s clients experience and raise funds for rescue. Soon, other gym owners, moved by the the realities of human trafficking in our world, joined in by hosting the R4R workout at Invictus, Crossfit Hilliard/Eleventh Element, and elsewhere.
This year we begin our annual nationwide R4R WOD on Super Bowl Saturday, February 3.
The 2018 Goal: 10 gyms & 3 rescue operations ($18,900).

Coffee, CrossFit & Community!
First Saturday of every month – Grab your friends and family and join us for a fun CrossFit-style workout, followed by delicious coffee from our friends at Ridgetop Coffee & Tea! Hang out and chat afterward and experience our community! The workout will be great for both beginners and seasoned CrossFitters – our expert coaches will tailor it to meet your needs! We welcome all newcomers, any fitness level! No CrossFit experience required.
Puerto Rico WOD
Join us this Saturday, Oct. 28, at 9AM as we raise money to help the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico as they recover from Hurricane Maria. The cost is $20/person (cash only) and all proceeds will go directly to United for Puerto Rico!! Your cash donation gets you a shirt (as long as they last) and a raffle ticket. Bring extra cash to purchase more raffle tickets as donations have been collected from over 30 local vendors.
The workout is designed for both CrossFitters and non-CrossFitters – so bring a friend and have some fun!!
